Jim's Appliances of Inman was opened in 1980, and the current owner Darin Pote (alongside his wife Kim Pote) purchased the store in 2005. Jim's Appliances continues to grow in sales each year by offering a "Nobody sells for less guarantee", huge in-stock inventory that is stored in three local warehouses, free delivery, multiple finance/payment options, in-home appliance repair department.

In 2007, Darin & Kim opened a second store in Manhattan, Kansas (Manhattan Appliance & Sleep Source) and the two stores have a combined sales volume of over 14 million dollars. That statistic, along being a member of the largest appliance buying group in the United States, shows how our local independent stores have no problem selling the same products for less than the national chains AND giving our customers the exceptional shopping experience before, during, and after the sale that they have come to love from our stores.
